Attorney David L. Whitsett II is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. After graduating from Brebeuf Preparatory, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, double majoring in accounting and finance. Mr. Whitsett practiced as an accountant for 8 years prior to entering law school, passing the Certified Public Accountant exam in 1994. Mr. Whitsett was a member of the Indiana Health Law Review, Dean's Student Advisory Board and Moot Court before graduating cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Whitsett interned/clerked with the U.S. Treasury, Internal Revenue Service Appeals Office in Indianapolis; Wilson, Kehoe and Winningham; Ruben and Levin; and finally with Ryan, Moore, Cook & Hunter in Frankfort, Indiana. He joined Ryan, Moore, Cook & Hunter as an associate after graduating from law school, where he practiced until September 1, 2008. On September 1, 2008, Mr. Whitsett opened a solo practice in downtown Frankfort, Indiana.
Legal Assistant Kathy Martin graduated from Clinton Prairie High School in May 2005. Kathy then attended Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer to study criminal justice. While at Saint Joseph's College, Kathy was a member of the volleyball team and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in December 2008, Kathy has worked for the law office handling all matters.
Mr. Whitsett is admitted to the Indiana Bar and the U.S. District courts of Northern and Southern Indiana. He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, Indiana Bar Association, Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and Clinton County Bar Association Indiana (past president).
